Overview


The Jr. Knights Middle School Feeder program is made up of boys and girls teams which represent Centennial High School in competition against 50+ other metro Atlanta feeder teams in the CCJBC (Cobb County Junior Basketball Conference) (and in other competitive leagues/tournaments).


Who

Teams are assembled by grade (5th-8th) and gender.   Team rosters are limited to 10-12 players.   Competitive tryouts are held for team selection.  Players are selected based on their skill level, basketball acumen and attitude.   Players must reside within the Centennial district to play on a team


When

Tryouts - Early October (Check website home page for times and registration)

Team Registration begins (for those selected) - Immediately after tryouts (Online)

Parent Meeting (for those selected) - Day after tryouts end (via Zoom)

Season (games/tourneys) - November thru February


How Often

Teams typically practice 2x/week (Mon-Fri) and play 1-2 games on weekends.  Teams may also compete in tournaments (e.g. Thanksgiving, Christmas) and will play as many as 5-6 games during those weeks.


Where

Practices are typically held at area middle schools (Holcomb Bridge, Haynes Bridge) and Centennial H.S. 6th-8th grade teams play home games are typically at Centennial H.S; Away games are typically played at other metro Atlanta high schools.  5th grade teams don’t participate the CCJBC. Instead they play in other competitive leagues throughout N. Fulton. Games are played at local schools/gyms


Cost

$500 - $550 - can be paid in 3 installments; 

  • There will be a limited # of need-based scholarships available

  • Several partial scholarships for families willing to serve as key volunteers

  • Cost covers: uniforms, facility/gym costs, game officials, insurance, equipment, etc


Registration

Feeder team registration begins October 3rd. You should only register your son/daughter after you have confirmed they’ve been selected for a team.
