Thank you for being part of the Jr. Knights Feeder Team program. Jr. Knights Feeder Basketball is a volunteer driven organization. Our directors, coaches, concession stand, scorekeepers, etc … are all volunteers and it takes all of us to make this work. Instructions for GameDay Gate Keeper:

  • The gate should open 45 minutes before the start of the first game.

  • If you are a gatekeepers for the first game of the day, start by setting up a table that restricts entry.  The Treasurer will bring you the cashbox.

  • Gate and cashbox should never be left unattended.

  • Each parent will have a “Centennial Basketball ID” card they must show to enter free.

  • Players for both teams enter for free (players must show their uniform).

  • Two coaches may enter free per team; Coaches must write their name and team (e.g. 8B, 7G) on the sign in sheet.

  • The gate can close at halftime of the last game; the Treasurer will collect the cashbox.

  • If you any problems, have someone find one of the Jr. Knights Directors.

Instructions to Open Concessions:

  • Arrive 45 minutes before first game.

  • The Jr. Knight Director or the Concessions Director will unlock the concession stand.

  • Supplies are in the back storage room of the concessions stand.

  • There is a price list in the Basketball Concessions Book. There will also be price tags to set on the counter. These are usually found in the boxes of items for sale.

  • Pull at least 1 box of each item and set on the counter. We find that it is useful to put all of the $2 items together and all of the $1 items together. This will make it easier when people ask what each item costs. You can simply point and say all of these items are $2 and all of these items are $1.

  • The popcorn button on the microwave works well, but please keep an eye on it if you are not too busy. Popcorn is a best seller!!

  • The Jr. Knights Treasurer will supply you with a cash box that will include starter money for change. Please contact the Treasurer should you need additional money for change. Do not leave the concession stand OR cash box unattended.

  • You will be relieved by the next group of volunteers. Students may work the concession stand, but an adult should ALWAYS to be present. Perform a transfer of knowledge to the next volunteer. Let them know if the microwave is acting up or if we are running low on supplies.

  • Please contact Concessions Director, if the next group does not show up or if you have any issues.

Instructions to Close Concessions:

  • Return all supplies to the shelves in the pantry. Please ensure price tags are in the boxes.

  • Perform quick visual of all Basketball Concession items in the pantry and let the Concession Director know of any low inventory.

  • Have an adult count the money & write the amount down on a piece of paper and place it in the cashbox.  The Jr. Knights Treasurer will collect the cashbox.

  • Make sure you have all of your personal belongings. Exit the concession stand and lower the metal gate. Please be careful, as the gate is heavy and can close abruptly. Insert the padlock and lock the gate.
